AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY

The Symbol of Our Federation

Home to the Parliament House, the Questacon & Lake Burley Griffin, the Australian Capital Territory is the backbone and policy maker of our great nation.

Compromising of many government industry jobs, locals find a lifestyle in quiet leafy neighbourhoods with a short commute into the CBD and Employment Centres.

A centralised city, has created a significant need for higher density infrastructure within the CBD, which has contributed to significant development taking place in the ACT. Canberra is now one of the most expensive cities in Australia, which is largely due to the strong economic factors behind the people who reside here.

CENTRAL CANBERRA

Home to the Parliament House and many of the leaders of Australia, Central Canberra is a place where important events are always happening.

Locals here, often work within walking distance to work, and enjoy the major architecturally designed buildings that they live amongst.

Walkability is fantastic within this location, with work, schools and lifestyle locations right at your doorstep.

Some of the wealthiest postcodes in Canberra are located here, with some houses selling for above $4M in some suburbs relatively regularly.

Being so close to major events, developers often dominate this market, meaning price hikes are almost inevitable hence accessibility is at the forefront of purchasing correctly.

In terms of employment, new hubs have been appearing in this region in recent years, particularly towards Belconnen and the Canberra University precinct.

This is a neighbourhood of growing affluence, where many families with school aged children are living. Stock turnover is quite low within this region due to this.

For potential purchasers, it is critical to understand the pockets with the strongest fundamentals for growth, as not suburbs in this region perform the same, development indicators have a strong impact on future growth here.
